What is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist?

An Associate MFT already has their Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, along with clinical hours under their belt. They are required to have a minimum of 300-500 clinical counseling hours before they even graduate from college, and many AMFTs have a variety of clinical experiences.

How long is therapy?

Therapy sessions are 45-50 min. Therapy is open ended and length of time depends on the type of treatment, CBT vs FBT. Our philosophy is to get you and your loved one to the point of not needing our service. We begin with the end of therapy in mind.

Can I use Insurance?

In order to provide the highest quality of care at an affordable rate, we are not accepting any insurance clients at this time. For those with PPO or Out of Network benefits we can provide you with the necessary information to submit a request for reimbursement. Taking financial responsibility for you or your loved ones care reinforces and helps in your treatment.

What is an intake session?

The first session is designated as the “intake”. This process involves questions and gathering a history, as well as reviewing the questionnaires to help with creating the diagnosis and treatment plan. This session is usually 45-50 min.
